VNDr. Tan Yah Yuen is a Senior Consultant and Breast Surgeon currently working at Solis. She is a leading expert in her field and actively involved in training breast surgeons in the region. She earned her medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1995 and continued her surgical training after completing her internship, obtaining postgraduate qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Surgeons in 1999. Dr. Tan underwent advanced surgical training at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and received an additional certification in General Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2003.
With a passion for breast surgery, Dr. Tan was awarded the HMDP Fellowship by the Ministry of Health and underwent 12 months of specialized training in Breast and Endocrine Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco in 2004. Her other areas of interest include minimally invasive techniques in breast surgery, such as ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted biopsy.
