Dr. Wilson Tay

I am a specialist in pain management and anesthesia. I frequently utilize minimally invasive interventional procedures to manage and treat various chronic pain conditions, such as neck and back pain, headaches, abdominal and pelvic pain, as well as cancer-related pain.

I am highly skilled in using ultrasound to guide chronic pain interventions, which improves efficiency and achieves better treatment outcomes with higher precision, while avoiding or minimizing radiation exposure.

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, with a Master’s degree in Medicine (Anesthesia) from the National University of Singapore. After completing my specialty training, I pursued a multidisciplinary Chronic Pain Fellowship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Ontario, Canada. I am a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) and a Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist (CIPS) from the World Institute of Pain (WIP) in the United States.

I am also a registered acupuncturist with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board of Singapore, certified by the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Before entering private practice, I served as a consultant at the Pain Management Centre of Singapore General Hospital. I continue to be a visiting consultant at SGH and a senior clinical lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, as well as a clinical teacher at Duke-NUS Medical School. I am a member of the Singapore Society of Anaesthesiologists and currently serve as the Honorary Treasurer of the Pain Association of Singapore. I have published articles in several peer-reviewed medical journals and am frequently invited to speak at local and international conferences on topics related to pain. I am also actively involved in teaching and organizing hands-on chronic pain intervention workshops.
